6 Month Performance Course at Peredur Eurythmy
8th January – early July 2018 for trained Eurythmists
with Solo Programme Extension
Here we are, in the middle of a glorious Autumn, and well into the new academic year. You may, at this moment, find yourself looking for a substantial, yet manageable artistic challenge. - Perhaps because you have recently graduated? - or because you would like a refresher, possibly after years of teaching Eurythmy to children, - or as a general re-orientation and re-energizing in your life. However, you simply can’t, or don’t wish to wait until the next academic year begins, and spending a whole year is not an option?
If so, read on!
From January 2018 Peredur Eurythmy is offering a 6 month comprehensive stage eurythmy course, dealing with all practical aspects of Artistic Eurythmy project-development.
The course will involve working together in a performance group for 6 months. It will encompass all elements of preparing for performance, including choice of material, choreography, costume and design, stage lighting, consideration of different performance styles (eg fairy tale for children, artistic adult programme, classical and modern/experimental styles, humour and balancing a program), continuous master classes and coaching for group work, as well as for solo performance.
In addition, students will be involved in the organisational aspect of putting together a tour, from writing programme notes to contacting prospective venues and publicity.
The group will be touring a variety of venues in the UK, including schools and Special Needs Communities, with a possibility to extend the tour to Continental Europe, if the group coming together is in a position to do this.
Participants will gain the skills and in-depth practical knowledge and experience of:
- the creative process and practice regime necessary to arrive at performance standard
- guide-lines for programme concept and composition
- publicity & marketing
- a basis for future independent artistic endeavours
The course tuition costs are £3,500 for 6 months.
Solo-Programme Extension Sept. - Nov.
Following the initial six months course, you have the possibility of enrolling in a three month extension period, to develop an individual solo programme. If wished, this can culminate in an LTCL Exam in Performance Art (level 6 Diploma, - 180 credits) through Trinity Guildhall London, which is an internationally recognised diploma. This will build on the work done in the previous course, and may draw on and incorporate an array of other artistic skills you already bring with you.
Price for this is on application and will be depend on a tailor made programme, to be agreed with you individually.
